Andrea's Voice Foundation
Andrea's Voice promotes understanding without judgment. A foundation created by Doris & Tom Smeltzer in honor of their daughter Andrea. The Smeltzers have written a book titled "Andrea's Voice" and travel around the U.S. sharing what they learned from their daughter before & after she died of an eating disorder. They are also involved in developing eating disorder treatment resources in the community that they live (Napa, California). The foundation website offers more information and resources.

Beyond Hunger
Groups for Freedom from Food & Weight Obsession for women, men & teens. Beyond Hunger is a nonprofit organization “dedicated to helping individuals find a natural, loving & peaceful relationship with their food, weight & selves.”

Founded in 1969, the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance (NAAFA) is a non-profit civil rights organization dedicated to ending size discrimination in all of its forms. NAAFA's goal is to help build a society in which people of every size are accepted with dignity and equality in all aspects of life. NAAFA will pursue this goal through advocacy, public education, and support.
