This hardcover journal offers an experience of creating design with Katagami stenciling. In the Sakura (flowering cherry tree) design it produces a gorgeous texture of raised flowers in silver spread about with thin lines, silver as well. Below the raised texture is a more subtle raised texture of leaves and stems. Lovely to touch, to hold in your hands. There is more information about this stenciling process in the back of the journal. A devotion to art making.
Inside the back flap of the journal is a memento pouch – a secret pocket to store notes for safe keeping to include in your journal, bits you find along your travels. There is a silk red ribbon marker to keep your place and an elastic band to mark your pages, hold clippings in place. 144 lined pages.
